Built of seasoned, winter cut
yellow birch poles, and kiln
dried 1' and 2"poplar planks.
Built into the foot end of the
bed is a love seat large enough
to accommodate 3 or 4 people
easily. The mosaic pattern on
the seat top is done with a mix
of split yellow birch and
striped maple twigs. All of the
construction used to fasten the
pieces of the headboard and
footboard together is done with
heavy yellow birch dowels. The
entire bed is put together with
heavy duty burned brass hinges
making easy assembling and
disassembling of this unit.
There are a total of 17 pieces
which make up this exquisite bed
making shipping and setup a
breeze. The side rails are
attractively done in the old
Adirondack pattern of applied
white birch bark and split
yellow birch twigs along with
overlaid bark diamonds and
yellow birch fans. This is a
true Adirondack bed and a gem to
own, sure to enhance that
special bedroom for years and
